Civil servants and private sector employees are permitted to work from anywhere (WFA) during the Lebaran 2026 holiday. WFA is implemented several days before and after Lebaran.
WFA Lebaran 2026 Lasts Five Days
According to the State Minister for Apparatus Reform Circular Letter No. 2/2026 on the Adjustment of Official Duties for Civil Servants in Government Agencies during National Holidays and Joint Leave for Nyepi and Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah, WFA for civil servants in 2026 lasts five days on:
Two days before the national holiday and joint leave for Nyepi (Saka New Year 1948):

Three days after the national holiday and joint leave for Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah:

For private sector employees, WFA Lebaran 2026 also lasts five days, based on the Ministry of Manpower Circular Letter No. M/2/HK.04/II/2026 on Work From Anywhere Implementation for Workers in Companies during Nyepi and Idul Fitri 2026.
“WFA implementation is conducted on 16–17 March 2026 and is expected to also take place on 25, 26, and 27 March 2026, taking into account company needs and considering the potential surge in return-flow mobility of holiday travellers after celebrating Idul Fitri,” according to the first point in the circular.

Lebaran 2026 Holiday Schedule
Based on the Joint Circular of Three Ministers on National Holidays and Joint Leave 2026, Lebaran 2026 holiday begins with joint leave on Friday, 20 March 2026. However, because Nyepi falls several days earlier, the Lebaran 2026 holiday begins on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, coinciding with joint leave for Nyepi, Saka New Year 1948.
