Western media outlet Politico has revealed that the administration of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lacks trust in United States Vice President J D Vance. The magazine cited several American and Israeli sources familiar with the evolving relationship between the two allied nations. The Israeli government reportedly views Vance as a primary figure pushing for a deal with Iran, while simultaneously seeking to reduce the level of American entanglement with Israel. The magazine explained that for years, Vance has consistently argued that the interests of the United States and Israel are not always aligned. According to his stance, America should not be dragged into a confrontation with Iran solely for Israel’s benefit. This position has long generated concern among decision-makers in Israel. A source familiar with interactions between the two governments stated that Israel has, for a considerable period, preferred to communicate directly with President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio rather than with Vance.
