To support regional development, we continue to implement scholarship programs for the nation’s successors in West Sumbawa.

West Sumbawa - West Sumbawa Regent of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Amar Nurmansyah stated that the West Sumbawa Maju Education Card Program has reached 12,455 students from kindergarten to higher education.

“The West Sumbawa Maju Education Card Program has reached 12,445 students,” said Amar Nurmansyah during the Eid al-Adha prayer in West Sumbawa on Wednesday.

He detailed the program includes 2,731 kindergarten students, 2,875 primary school students, 3,047 junior high school students, 2,627 senior high school students, and 1,165 university students.

“The Maju Education program has been running for one year since 2025,” he said.

Nurmansyah added that children in West Sumbawa are now entering the school registration period, so the local government continues to implement scholarship programs to improve education quality.

“For the support of regional development, we continue to implement scholarship programs for the nation’s successors in West Sumbawa,” he said.

During the event, he also urged everyone to emulate the sacrifices of Prophets Ibrahim and Ismail during Eid al-Adha.

“Eid al-Adha teaches the values of faith, sincerity, sacrifice, and social care,” he said.

He added that true faith is not just spoken, but proven with sincerity and willingness to sacrifice and prioritise the interests of the community.

“The wisdom of sacrifice is not about slaughtering animals, but the higher one’s faith, the greater the concern for communities in need of assistance,” he said.
