Investment realisation in West Sumbawa Regency (KSB) has reached only 25 per cent during the first semester, covering the January to June 2025 period.

The regency has been assigned an investment realisation target of Rp46 trillion by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM for 2025.

Head of the KSB One-Stop Integrated Services and Investment Office (DPMPTSP), Kamaluddin, expressed optimism that the 2025 target could still be achieved.

"God willing, we can reach Rp46 trillion and fulfil the investment target mandated for this year," he said when met on Monday (30/6/2025).

According to Kamaluddin, the remaining target could be achieved in the next six months by relying on the mining sector. "We could surpass the Rp46 trillion if the mining sector is included," he added.

To support the achievement of the investment target, his office continues to improve its services. "In general, our collective support together with all elements of KSB society provides security guarantees. That is what makes investors increasingly interested in coming here," he concluded.

West Sumbawa Regency received the largest share of the investment target among the nine regencies and municipalities in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The province has been assigned a total target of Rp63 trillion for 2025.

"Rp46 trillion out of Rp63 trillion is approximately 73.02 per cent, meaning more than half of the provincial target rests with us," said Kamaluddin.

The investment target assigned by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM was based on previous years' results and the potential held by KSB, with PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMAN) operating a significant mining area in the regency.
