Jakarta (ANTARA) — National construction company PT PP (Persero) Tbk has reported that construction progress on the West Residence Road upgrade in the Core Area of the National Capital Government Zone (KIPP) in Nusantara (IKN) has reached 65.85 per cent as of March 2026.

PT PP Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo stated that this achievement exceeded the planned target of 60.69 per cent, representing approximately 5.15 per cent faster progress than scheduled.

“PT PP remains committed to delivering the highest construction quality and ensuring that this strategic national project in the Nusantara Capital can proceed on schedule and provide benefits for area development and connectivity in the future,” Joko said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The project is being carried out by a consortium comprising PT PP, PT Mada Wikri Tunggal (MWT) and PT Satria Bahana Sarana (SBS) under a Cooperative Working Arrangement (KSO). Work commenced following the issuance of a Work Order Letter (SPMK) on 29 July 2024, with the project contract valued at approximately 1.3 trillion rupiah.

In executing the project, PT PP and its KSO consortium partners have implemented various construction innovations and logistics optimisation to maintain accelerated progress amid high construction activity across the IKN area.

Beyond supporting the new capital’s infrastructure development, the project has also generated economic benefits for the region through the absorption of approximately 600 workers and involvement of partner companies and subcontractors.

With progress exceeding targets, PT PP believes the West Residence Road construction will soon support mobility and connectivity in the government core area of IKN.

The infrastructure development aligns with government efforts to promote balanced development and new economic growth across various regions of Indonesia and supports the national development vision of Asta Cita.
