West Pasaman Regency Receives Funding for Revitalisation of Disaster-Affected Schools

Simpang Empat (ANTARA) - The West Pasaman Regency Government in West Sumatra has received funding for the revitalisation of disaster-affected schools amounting to more than Rp11 billion for rehabilitation, construction, and provision of school facilities from the central government.

“The revitalisation PKS (Cooperation Agreement) funding is for six Early Childhood Education (PAUD) schools and nine Primary Schools (SD) affected by disasters,” said the Head of the West Pasaman Education Office, Imter Pedri, in Simpang Empat on Thursday.

According to him, the total PKS revitalisation funding of Rp11,009,417,152 consists of Rp5,290,801,000 for PAUD and Rp5,718,616,152 for SD.

He explained that the determination of affected schools began with a request from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) regarding schools impacted by natural disasters.

The Head of the Junior Secondary School Development Division of the West Pasaman Education Office, Idris, explained that the school revitalisation work will be carried out using a self-managed system.

“The budget will be directly deposited into the school accounts. With a two-phase disbursement system,” he said.

“We hope the implementation follows the established technical guidelines, so that the schools can be used well by the students,” he stated.

He detailed that the six PAUDs receiving revitalisation funding are TK Al Ikhlas Sasak Ranah Pasisia, TK IT Raudhatul Jannah Sasak Ranah Pasisia, TK Lailil Adnin Sungai Beremas, TK Ceria Maligi Sasak Ranah Pasisia, TK Banjar Bahal Ceria Lembah Melintang, and TK Mutiara Bunda Sungai Aur.

Meanwhile, the primary schools are SDN 12, SDN 03, SDN 02, and SDN 08 Ranah Batahan, followed by SDN 10 Sungai Beremas, SDN 25 Lembah Melintang, SDN 08 Koto Balingka, SDN 03 Sungai Aur, and SDN 18 Kinali.
