West Pasaman Regency disburses Rp13.5 billion in village funds to 90 nagari
Simpang Empat (ANTARA) - The West Pasaman Regency Government, West Sumatra, has disbursed village funds amounting to Rp13.5 billion to 90 nagari (villages) for activities addressing extreme poverty, reducing stunting, ensuring food security, achieving energy self-sufficiency, and developing labour-intensive infrastructure.
“We are targeting the disbursement of village funds totalling Rp31,973,229,000 to be channelled and utilised for the benefit of the community throughout 2026. To date, only Rp13,598,143,200 has been disbursed,” said Acting Head of the Community and Nagari Empowerment Agency of West Pasaman, Syaikhul Putra, in Simpang Empat on Wednesday.
According to him, the disbursed funds can only be utilised by 31 nagari because the other 59 nagari have not yet finalised their revenue and expenditure budgets (APB).
“We hope that the nagari that have not prepared their APB will complete them as soon as possible, so that the village funds can be utilised,” he said.
In addition, there is also a budget to support the future Merah Putih Village Cooperative.
He emphasised that nagari (villages) should utilise village funds in accordance with the provisions in Minister of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration Regulation Number 15 of 2025.
“We will continue to provide guidance to nagari through technical assistance on management, finance, and human resources,” he stated.
“Guidance is continuously provided to prevent any misuse of village funds in the future,” he added.
