West Pasaman Receives Rp17.93 Billion for School Revitalisation After Natural Disasters
Simpang Empat (ANTARA) - The West Pasaman Regency government in West Sumatra has obtained Rp17.93 billion in revitalisation funds for 25 schools affected by natural disasters in the area.
“Of the 25 schools, 18 are currently under construction. On average, the work has reached 50 percent completion. The remaining seven schools are at the cooperation agreement stage,” said Head of the West Pasaman Education Office, Imter Pedri, accompanied by Head of Secondary School Development, Idris, in Simpang Empat on Wednesday.
He stated that his office is continuously monitoring the construction to ensure it is on target and completed on schedule.
“The school revitalisation work is being carried out using a self-managed system. The budget is transferred directly to the school accounts, with a two-stage disbursement system,” he said.
Idris, Head of Secondary School Development, added that in addition to the 25 schools confirmed to receive funding from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, there are currently nine primary schools and six junior high schools that are prospective candidates for revitalisation.
He expressed hope that the work will follow the established technical guidelines so that the schools can be properly utilised by the students.
He detailed that the six kindergartens receiving revitalisation funds are TK Al Ikhlas Sasak Ranah Pasisia, TK IT Raudhatul Jannah Sasak Ranah Pasisia, TK Lailil Adnin Sungai Beremas, TK Ceria Maligi Sasak Ranah Pasisia, TK Banjar Bahal Ceria Lembah Melintang, and TK Mutiara Bunda Sungai Aur.
Additionally, TK Dharma Wanita Ujung Gading in Lembah Melintang District, TK ABA Air Bayang Lembah Melintang, TK Arsyadiyah Lembah Melintang, TK Negeri Pembina Ranah Batahan, and TK ABA Air Bangis.
Meanwhile, the primary schools are SDN 12, SDN 03, SDN 02, and SDN 08 Ranah Batahan, followed by SDN 10 Sungai Beremas, SDN 25 Lembah Melintang, SDN 08 Koto Balingka, SDN 03 Sungai Aur, and SDN 18 Kinali.
