Simpang Empat (ANTARA) - The West Pasaman Regency Government, West Sumatra, continues to provide civil administration services on national public holidays and joint leave days for the Ascension of Jesus Christ, namely on Thursday, 14th May and Friday, 15th May.

“For these two days, we continue to provide services at the Office of Civil Administration and Population from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM,” said the Head of the Civil Administration and Population Office (Disdukcapil) of West Pasaman, Yuli Asma, in Simpang Empat, Friday.

According to him, even though it is a public holiday, public enthusiasm to take care of civil administration is quite high, such as electronic ID card services, family cards (KK), civil registration certificates, and activation of digital population identity (IKD), as well as other civil administration services.

He said that on Thursday, the West Pasaman Disdukcapil served 42 KK, four residents who moved, 32 birth certificates, two death certificates, printed 23 ID cards, two ID card recordings and three free blood type checks.

Yuli said that the provision of civil administration services on public holidays is a follow-up to the issuance of the Circular Letter of the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration Number 400.B/4780/DUKCAPIL dated 12 May 2026 concerning Civil Administration Services on National Public Holidays and Joint Leave.

He emphasised that the implementation of this service is a form of commitment from the West Pasaman Regency Disdukcapil in ensuring that services to the community continue to run optimally even during national public holidays and joint leave.

According to him, with the continued provision of civil administration services, the public is expected to continue to be able to take care of population documents as needed without having to wait for normal working days.

“Hopefully, with the provision of services on public holidays, it can increase public awareness of taking care of civil administration in the future,” he said.
