West Pasaman Issues 828 Business Permits in First Three Months of 2025
SIMPANG EMPAT – The West Pasaman Regency Government in West Sumatra, through its Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), issued a total of 828 permits during the first three months of 2025.
Head of West Pasaman's DPMPTSP, Fadlus Sabi, said the majority of permits issued were Business Identification Numbers (NIB), totalling 653. "The dominance of NIB applications shows the public's enthusiasm for obtaining proper business legality. We continue to promote ease of service so that all business operators can conduct their activities officially," he said in Simpang Empat on Wednesday (15/5/2025).
He confirmed that all permits are issued free of charge, except for building approval permits which remain subject to local retribution levies in accordance with regional regulations. "If documents are complete, the permit process can be completed within two hours. However, permits requiring site surveys naturally take additional time, depending on field conditions and connectivity," he explained.
West Pasaman's DPMPTSP has also implemented an information technology-based licensing system through Online Single Submission (OSS), which integrates central and regional government permits. "OSS provides convenience. The public simply needs to access the website, and the process is faster and more transparent," Fadlus added.
In addition to NIB, other types of permits issued included: building approval permits (35), kindergarten operational permits (24), playgroup operational permits (1), specialist training and course operational permits (1), tutoring permits (1), private primary school operational permits (2), private secondary school operational permits (1), general practitioner licences (15), medical practitioner licences (5), specialist doctor licences (16), nurse and independent nurse practitioner licences (12), pharmaceutical technical personnel permits (4), nutritionist work permits (1), medical laboratory technician work permits (1), clinic operational permits (3), and pharmacy permits (4).
DPMPTSP affirmed it would continue to strengthen its service and oversight systems to ensure the licensing process in West Pasaman remains swift, accessible, and free from unlawful charges.
