West Nusa Tenggara Police Arrest Treasurer of Drug Trafficking Network of Koko Erwin
Jakarta – The Director of Drug Investigation at the West Nusa Tenggara Police, Brigadier General Roman Smaradhana Elhaj, stated that his team had arrested suspect AS, who served as treasurer for the drug trafficking network of Koko Erwin, on Thursday, 26 February.
“Without resistance, AS was arrested by personnel from the West Nusa Tenggara Police around 11:00 WITA,” he said at the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Friday.
Roman stated that AS was apprehended at her rented house in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. At the time of arrest, the woman was alone.
AS’s role was as treasurer for the alleged drug trafficking network of Koko Erwin. Erwin himself is a trafficker who allegedly provided billions of rupiah in bribes to Didik Putra Kuncoro through AKP M, the former head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police.
As treasurer, Roman explained, AS received money from the sale of narcotics from AN, the wife of a member of Bima City Police, Brigadier Fireman IR.
“So Anita makes the deposit. After Anita sells, she gets money and deposits it to Ais. Ais then deposits it to Koko Erwin,” he said.
The arrest of AS on Thursday, 26 February, occurred simultaneously with the arrest of Koko Erwin, who was apprehended whilst attempting to flee to Malaysia.
Currently, AS, along with five other suspects—AKP M, Bripka IR, YI, HR (both civilians), and AN—are being held at the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta.
The six suspects will undergo intensive questioning using the method of confronting each other’s testimonies.
