West Manggarai Rated ‘Very Good’ for One-Stop Services Performance
The West Manggarai Regency Government has received a ‘Very Good’ rating in the 2026 assessment of one-stop integrated services (PTSP) and local government efforts to accelerate business operations. The award from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) recognises the local government’s performance in licensing services and efforts to make doing business and investing easier.
The achievement was announced by Maria Imaculata Etris Babur, head of West Manggarai’s Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office, in the Mabar Leadership Coordination WhatsApp group on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. Maria thanked the regent, deputy regent, regional secretary and heads of technical regional government organisations (OPDs) for supporting the performance of licensing services.
West Manggarai Deputy Regent Dr Yulianus Weng also welcomed the award, calling it a source of shared pride as well as a challenge to maintain service quality. “It makes us all proud. Our next task is to maintain the ‘Very Good’ rating,” he said.
According to Maria, the rating covers two key areas: the delivery of one-stop integrated services and the acceleration of business operations. PTSP covers integrated licensing and non-licensing services in accordance with the relevant authorities and applicable regulations.
Efforts to accelerate business operations, meanwhile, focus on making licensing and business processes more effective and transparent, while providing certainty for business operators. The assessment also considers institutional governance, the quality of human resources, the use of electronic systems, compliance with service standards and coordination among regional government agencies.
Maria said the assessment of business facilitation also considers the implementation of risk-based business licensing, regulatory compliance, cross-sector coordination and local government support for investment realisation. She said the award, established under Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Decree No. 2045 of 2026, was strategically significant for West Manggarai, known as one of Indonesia’s leading tourist destinations.
High-quality licensing services are considered important for providing certainty to investors, local businesses and the public. Despite receiving the ‘Very Good’ rating, the local government still faces the challenge of maintaining consistency and improving service quality. Maria added that, according to information she had received, the assessment results could affect the allocation of regional funding.
However, any such impact remains subject to confirmation under the applicable official rules. The achievement is expected to encourage all regional government agencies to strengthen coordination, improve transparency and make licensing services more accessible, supporting business and investment growth in West Manggarai.
