West Lombok Regional Representative Surrenders Rp608 Million in State Loss Compensation for Mukena Corruption Case
Ahmad Zainuri, a member of the West Lombok Regional Representative Council (DPRD), has surrendered state loss compensation of Rp608 million to the Mataram State Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) in connection with a corruption case involving the procurement of mukenasand sarongs. Zainuri is one of the defendants in a corruption case involving misuse of basic thinking funds (pokir) allocated to members of the West Lombok DPRD, which were channelled through the West Lombok Social Affairs Office during the 2024 budget year.
Zainuri’s legal representative, Edy Rahman, stated that the compensation was submitted during a continuation hearing with a witness examination agenda. The funds were surrendered before the panel of judges at the Mataram District Court, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on Friday, 13 March 2026.
“Today, we have submitted the state loss compensation of Rp608 million before the panel of judges. This is a gesture of our client’s cooperative stance in this case,” said Edy on Friday.
Edy explained that the funds represented reimbursement for goods procurement conducted by Ahmad Zainuri. According to him, the money was not proceeds from corruption as alleged by the prosecutors.
“It is not proceeds from corruption. The money received is compensation for goods procurement undertaken by our client,” he added.
The Head of the Mataram State Prosecutor’s Office, Gde Made Pasek Swardhyana, confirmed the receipt of the state loss compensation from Ahmad Zainuri. “The amount is Rp608 million,” he said.
Pasek emphasised that the case is currently proceeding through the court system. He also indicated openness to the possibility of defendants making additional restitution for state losses.
“We appreciate the defendant’s step in returning state losses, and we remain open to the possibility of additional restitution for remaining state losses from the defendants,” he concluded.
For context, Ahmad Zainuri is being tried alongside the Head of Social Rehabilitation Division (Resos) at the West Lombok Social Affairs Office, Dewi Dahliana; Head of Social Empowerment Division (Dayasos) at the West Lombok Social Affairs Office, M Zakaki; and Rusandi, a private goods supplier.
