West Lombok Regent Allegedly 'Entrusted' at NTB Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters

West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini has allegedly been taken into custody by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He is currently reported to be temporarily detained at the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Headquarters of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police. detikBali attempted to visit the NTB Police Brimob Headquarters, but media personnel were not permitted entry by the guards on duty. NTB Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Mohammad Kholid, stated he had not yet received the information. ‘I have not received any information; perhaps you can confirm with the KPK,’ he said. According to information gathered by detikBali, the office of Lalu Ahmad Zaini at the West Lombok Regency Government Office has also been sealed by the KPK. In addition, the KPK sealed the office door of the Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, and Settlement Areas Department (PUPRPKP) of West Lombok, as well as the office of the Director of PT Air Minum Giri Menang (AMGM) located in Mataram City. The director’s office on the second floor was sealed with black tape. Separately, KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo, when contacted by detikBali, has not yet provided a response regarding whether the West Lombok Regent has been detained.
