The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini a suspect in a corruption case. The KPK revealed that Lalu Ahmad and the President Director of PT Air Minum Giri Menang Lombok Barat (PT AMGM), Sudirman, placed funds in a hospital using a share purchase scheme.

“In addition, LAZ and SUD are also suspected of placing funds amounting to Rp 2.25 billion at Sisa Sentra Medika Hospital under the guise of share purchases or the Regent’s operational funds,” said Acting KPK Director of Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein during a press conference at the KPK building, Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

He stated that KPK investigators are still further examining the flow of these funds. The KPK is also investigating other parties who may have been involved.

“Investigators will continue to probe the flow and source of the funds, as well as the involvement of various parties in this series of suspected corruption offences,” he said.

The KPK has named a total of three suspects in the case involving Lalu Ahmad. The details are as follows:

The KPK suspects Lalu Ahmad received Rp 10.8 billion through project manipulation with Sudirman. Lalu Ahmad is also suspected of receiving bribes in the form of cash and goods totalling Rp 1.6 billion from Alvonsus.

The KPK has charged Lalu Ahmad and Sudirman under Article 12 letter i and Article 12 letter a or letter b and/or Article 12B of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 20 letter c in conjunction with Article 21 of the Criminal Code.
