West Lombok Officials Resume Duties After KPK Questioning
A number of West Lombok Regency officials have returned to their offices and resumed their duties after being questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Jakarta. Acting Regional Secretary of West Lombok, Ahmad Saikhu, confirmed that officials who have returned include the Head of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) Lalu Agha Farabi, Secretary of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Department (PUPRPKP) Ahmad Fathoni, Head of the Cipta Karya Division I Gusti Putu Edi Rustandi, and a staff member from the Bina Marga Division of PUPRPKP. “They have all returned. Those from PUPRPKP have already come to the office,” Saikhu stated on Tuesday.
Saikhu also clarified that the Head of the Procurement Department, Yung Savitri, has returned to West Lombok but has not yet entered the office. Meanwhile, Bapenda Head Lalu Agha Farabi has not reported for work as he is joining other regional organisation heads for a leadership training programme in Bali. Saikhu refuted reports that the Head of the Communication and Informatics Department, Rizky Bani Adam, and the Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency, I Agus Wirawan Satra, were also examined by the KPK. He insisted both officials were in Bali for the leadership training. He further clarified that from the regional organisation heads, only the Head of the PUPRPKP Department, Lalu Ratnawi, accompanied West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini to Jakarta and provided statements to the KPK. To ensure continuity, the West Lombok administration has appointed PUPRPKP Secretary Ahmad Fathoni as the acting head of the department.
