The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Lampung Regency, Nukman, monitored the supply and availability of basic food commodities at Pasar Besar Liwa, Way Mengaku Village, Balik Bukit District, on Friday.

The effort was carried out jointly with the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) as part of the local government's measures to anticipate price increases during the holy month of Ramadan through to the approach of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri.

The Regional Secretary reported that the results of the field monitoring showed prices for several basic necessities remained stable. Prices for rice, chillies, red onions and garlic, beef, chicken, fish and other staple items were all at relatively steady levels.

Nukman added that they would continue to visit the market directly to compare prices over time throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
