West Java Wins Overall Title at 2026 Adinata Sharia Awards for Islamic Economy Development
The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jabar) has won Overall Champion at the 2026 Adinata Syariah Awards, held at the Bank Mega Auditorium in Jakarta on Monday (6 July 2026). The prestigious event was organised by the National Committee for Islamic Economy and Finance (KNEKS) in collaboration with CNN Indonesia.
The award was presented by Vice President for the 2019–2024 period and father of Indonesia’s sharia economy, Ma’ruf Amin, and received directly by West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan.
Of the fourteen categories, West Java came top in six: Muslim-friendly Tourism, Sharia Business Incubation, Sharia Economy and Financial Literacy, Regional Action Plans, Pesantren Economy, and Zakat, Infak and Sedekah (almsgiving).
The award was given to the West Java Provincial Government in recognition of its vigour in developing the sharia economy and finance.
The event also conferred the Sharia Economy Ecosystem Supporting Partner Appreciation, aimed at strategic collaborators.
The appreciation evening served as a stage of honour for supporting partners of the sharia economy across various categories.
The 2026 Adinata Syariah Awards are expected to strengthen synergy between government, industry players and the mass media in continuing to campaign for the importance of sharia financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia.
The event was attended by the Chair of the National Sharia Council (DSN), Ma’ruf Amin, Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Maman Abdurrahman, and Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono.
Speaking after receiving the award, Deputy Governor Erwan said the achievement was the result of hard work by all parties in efforts to improve the sharia economy and finance in West Java.
“This year we have managed to retain the overall championship of the Adinata Syariah Awards. This is certainly the hard work of everyone involved — our thanks go to Bank Indonesia’s West Java office, KDEKS West Java and others who continue to work with us to improve the sharia economy and finance in West Java,” he said.
