BANDUNG – The West Java Provincial Government continues to intensify efforts to strengthen an inclusive and sustainable investment climate. One such initiative was carried out through an audience between West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman and officials from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) in Jakarta on Friday (25/7/2025).

The meeting was received directly by Deputy for Investment Climate Development Riyanto and Deputy for Investment Information Technology Ricky Kusmayadi. Discussions focused on the utilisation of integrated data to drive investment sector development, industrial downstreaming, and labour absorption in West Java.

"We discussed how existing data can be optimised and analysed for decision-making across various sectors, specifically to increase investment," said Herman.

In his presentation, Herman highlighted the importance of data system interoperability between central and regional governments. This concerns the utilisation of West Java's digital platforms that have been developed, including improvements to the Online Single Submission (OSS) system, Business Identification Number (NIB), and information related to labour requirements and the business sector.

According to him, data integration enables the government to read patterns and needs of the industrial sector with greater precision. One of the objectives is to create a balance between high investment inflows and optimal absorption of the local workforce.
