West Java Retains Overall Champion Title at 2026 Adinata Syariah Awards

The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jabar) has clinched the overall champion title at the 2026 Adinata Syariah Awards, held at the Bank Mega Auditorium in Jakarta on Monday, 6 July 2026. The achievement was granted in recognition of the provincial government’s commitment to developing the Islamic economy and finance sector within the region. The award was received directly by West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan from former Indonesian Vice President for the 2019–2024 period and the nation’s figurehead for Islamic economics, Ma’ruf Amin. Out of the 14 categories contested, West Java secured six awards, namely Muslim-Friendly Tourism, Sharia Business Incubation, Islamic Economy and Finance Literacy, Regional Action Plan, Pesantren Economy, and Zakat, Infaq, and Sedekah. Deputy Governor Erwan stated that the achievement was the result of hard work by all parties in efforts to boost the Islamic economy and finance in West Java. ‘This year we managed to retain the overall champion title at the Adinata Syariah Awards. This is certainly the result of hard work from all parties, thank you to the Bank Indonesia West Java Representative Office, the West Java KDEKS, and others who continue to work together with us to improve the Islamic economy and finance in West Java,’ he said. The 2026 Adinata Syariah Awards are expected to strengthen synergy between the government, industry players, and the mass media to continue campaigning for the importance of Islamic financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia.
