West Java Residents Send Meat Donation for Palestinian People
Residents of West Java have sent donations for sacrificial meat and charity to the Palestinian people, totalling Rp251,000,000, through the National Board of Zakat (Baznas) RI.
In a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, the Vice Chairman of Baznas RI, Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi, stated that this initiative serves as evidence of the high level of care and solidarity shown by the West Java community towards the suffering experienced by the people in Palestine.
“We greatly appreciate the concern of the West Java community, channelled through Baznas West Java, to help lighten the burden of our brothers and sisters in Palestine who are struggling amidst conflict conditions,” he said.
He detailed that the assistance consists of donations for the Palestine Qurban programme worth Rp147,500,000, the Palestine Meat Charity Programme worth Rp82,600,000, and the Packaged Meat Charity Programme worth Rp21,000,000.
Through transparent and accountable management, Baznas RI guarantees that all sacrificial packages and meat donations will be distributed effectively to bring happiness to the Palestinian people.
“Baznas RI is fully committed to ensuring that all trusts regarding these sacrifices and meat donations are distributed faithfully, transparently, and precisely, so that the blessings of the holiday can be felt in Palestine,” he added.
Through strengthened collaboration and synergy, he expressed hope that more members of the public will be moved to distribute zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and qurban as a form of compassion for others, particularly those facing humanitarian crises.
