Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java confirms that stock of fuel and LPG in West Java is safe until the upcoming Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri travel period. They urge the public not to panic over reports that the Hormuz passage for oil trade is blocked due to the Iran–Israel–America war.

Sindhu Priyo Windoko, Sales Area Manager Retail Bandung, said fuel and LPG stocks for South West Java are safe through the peak homecoming and return periods of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. He asked the public not to panic in response to information about the Hormuz Southern Route being hampered by the Iran–Israel–America conflict.

‘So far we’re simply monitoring the situation, particularly in Bandung; people are not having trouble buying, at SPBU there is still fuel and LPG readily available,’ he said at his office in Bandung on Friday, 6 March 2026.

In the southern part of West Java, he noted daily fuel demand during the homecoming period reaches 4,800 kilolitres. Yet the company itself has prepared 6,000 kilolitres. He said 1,200 kilolitres are set aside for anticipation.

‘During the peak homecoming period, the predicted daily demand is 4,800; we’ve prepared 6,000. If not needed, in normal times, normal demand is only about 3,900. So we’re short of normal by about 2,100,’ he said.

For LPG, he said the monthly addition of cylinders during Ramadan and Eid reaches 484,000 cylinders. Pertamina continues to monitor developments in the field and everything is proceeding well.

Sindhu said the company does not ignore the geopolitical conditions currently occurring. However, he said Pertamina has integrated infrastructure, so services continue to run well for the public. Moreover, Bandung area sources its oil from the Cilacap refinery in Central Java.

‘Alhamdulillah, so far we have been serving well. For those who wish to travel home during the mudik period, please go ahead; we will continue to monitor stock availability so that the mudik and balik flows run smoothly,’ he said.
