Bandung, West Java (ANTARA) - The West Java Provincial Government is providing an incentive in the form of a 10 per cent discount on annual motor vehicle tax (PKB) payments for owners of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday period.

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi explained that this tax reduction programme applies specifically to online payments from 18 March to 24 March 2026, as an effort to alleviate the economic burden on the community amid the high expenses during Lebaran.

“Rather than the money being spent entirely on Lebaran, it’s better to pay the tax and get a 10 per cent discount,” said Dedi in his statement in Bandung, West Java, on Friday.

The public can access this discount service through various digital channels, including the Sapawarga application and Signal (National Digital Samsat).

In addition, payments via KiosK Samsat (Samsat ATM) available at all main Samsat offices throughout West Java will also serve returnees with assistance from on-site officers.

The Governor emphasised that the digitalisation of this service aims to enable residents to fulfil their tax obligations without being bound by conventional office operating hours during the joint leave period.

For residents who wish to take advantage of this opportunity, the West Java Provincial Government urges them to immediately update the Sapawarga application or contact the Jabar alert hotline at 082126030038 for technical payment guidance.

The West Java Provincial Government hopes that this PKB discount programme will increase taxpayer compliance while serving as an Eid gift for West Java residents who want to keep their vehicles legally registered at a more affordable cost.
