West Java Provincial Government Ensures Adequate Supply of Eid al-Adha Sacrificial Animals for 2026
Bandung, VIVA – The availability of sacrificial animals in West Java for Eid al-Adha 2026 is sufficient. According to data from the National Veterinary Health Information System (iSIKHNAS), the sheep stock for Eid al-Adha this year is estimated at 223,812 head, higher than last year’s 187,395. The head of the West Java Food Security and Livestock Service, Linda Al Amin, said cattle stock has also increased to 120,916 head this year, up from 99,565 last year. Meanwhile, the number of goats this year is estimated at 61,578 head, slightly down from last year’s 63,319. For water buffalo, 700 head are available, up significantly from last year’s 336.
