West Java Provincial Government Changes BRT Service Scheme, Saves Rp10 Billion in Budget

The West Java Provincial Government has changed the management scheme for the Metro Jabar Trans Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service by reducing the role of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD). The change was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement for the public service obligation (PSO) subsidy for mass transportation in the Greater Bandung metropolitan area at the West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) building in Bandung on Wednesday (5/8). The new scheme is claimed to save the budget by up to Rp10 billion per year.
