West Java Provincial Government Begins Distribution of Rp433 Billion Holiday Allowance for Civil Servants and Contract Workers
The West Java Provincial Government has begun distributing holiday allowances (THR) to Civil Servants (ASN) within the provincial administration. The total funds allocated for THR reach Rp433 billion, covering both full-time and part-time Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK).
The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Java, Herman Suryatman, confirmed this on Thursday, 12 March. The distribution targets not only permanent civil servants but also full-time and part-time PPPK workers.
“Unlike previous years, this distribution is particularly special, as civil servants will receive not only THR but also Employee Income Allowance (TPP) and a thirteenth-month salary disbursed simultaneously. The Governor’s Regulation on the technical aspects of THR and thirteenth-month salary distribution has been prepared,” Suryatman stated.
According to Herman, West Java Provincial Government sourced the THR funds from the 2026 Regional Budget to ensure employee welfare ahead of Eid al-Fitr. The total budget allocation exceeds Rp433 billion, with a breakdown including salary and TPP for civil servants alongside a special allocation of Rp60.8 billion for part-time PPPK workers.
“All funding comes from the West Java Provincial Budget, which has been prepared. We ensure the signing process is complete and disbursement has commenced,” he explained.
Although employees’ account balances will soon increase, Herman urged civil servants and PPPK workers to manage their finances prudently, hoping the funds would be prioritised for urgent needs during Eid al-Fitr.
“We urge the funds to be used wisely for pressing needs during Eid al-Fitr,” he emphasised.
Head of the Civil Service Agency (BKD) of West Java, Dedi Supandi, assured that in principle there was no discriminatory treatment. All civil servants, whether permanent or contract workers (full-time or part-time), received their entitlements according to applicable regulations. “So there is no differentiation; all receive THR in accordance with applicable regulations,” he stated.
