West Java Provincial Council Supports KDM's Evaluation of Pullman Hotel Cooperation Agreement in Bandung City
Bandung (ANTARA) - Commission I of the West Java Provincial Council fully supports Governor Dedi Mulyadi’s (KDM) steps to thoroughly evaluate the cooperation agreement (PKS) with the Pullman Hotel in the city centre of Bandung.
Chairman of Commission I of the West Java Council, Rahmat Hidayat Jati, in Bandung on Thursday, expressed that this support is one of the crucial points in the Working Meeting of Commission I with the General Bureau of the West Java Provincial Secretariat, Legal Bureau, Inspectorate, and Bappeda, on Thursday (16/4).
He continued that the evaluation is emphasised to strengthen support for the tasks and functions of the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) moving forward, making it more optimal for regional interests.
In addition to asset matters, they also highlighted the iconic revitalisation project of Gedung Sate and Gasibu Field worth Rp12 billion.
This project, which has been contracted from 6 April to 6 August 2026, is requested not to use foreign terms in naming its new facilities.
“It is hoped that the term ‘Plaza’ is not used, but instead a term with a Sundanese nuance is used in the Governor’s Decree (Kepgub) later,” said Rahmat, recounting the conclusions of the meeting.
This step is taken to ensure that every aspect of development in the centre of West Java’s government still reflects the identity and roots of local culture amid city modernisation.
Regarding the area integration plan, this project will close about 150 metres of Jalan Diponegoro, which separates Gedung Sate and Gasibu Field. That area will later be unified into a large garden as a green open space.
The legislature provides firm notes that this integrated area should maintain the purity of its function as a garden, so that no new building structures are added in the road closure area to preserve aesthetics and environmental function.
The working meeting, which was also attended by the asset section of the West Java BPKAD, ensures that all funding for this revitalisation has been included in the 2026 APBD budget allocation.
The main focus now is the synchronisation between the legality aspects of third-party cooperation and the acceleration of physical development targeted to be completed in August this year.
He hopes this synchronisation can enhance the prestige of asset governance while strengthening the historical value of the Gedung Sate area as a symbol of pride for the Sundanese people.
