West Java Police Target 2,000 Pasirlangu Residents for Free Health Check-ups

Bandung Barat (ANTARA) - The West Java Regional Police (Polda Jawa Barat) targeted 2,000 residents of Pasirlangu Village, West Bandung Regency, in the implementation of the Free Health Check-up (CKG) programme to help expand healthcare access in the region.

West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan stated in West Bandung on Tuesday that the activity is part of efforts to support the implementation of the CKG programme for the entire West Java community.

“We are concentrating the health service in Pasirlangu Village, Cisarua, with approximately 2,000 residents attending to socialise and revitalise the Free Health Check-up (CKG), which is a government programme for the public,” he said.

He noted that various activities were also carried out, including the provision of assistance for persons with disabilities in the form of pushchairs, wheelchairs, walking sticks, and hearing aids.

“Today’s event also includes health services in the form of general medical examinations and specialist examinations by doctors who have been prepared for this integrated health service activity,” he said.

In addition to medical services, the activities also encompassed mass circumcisions for children, stunting prevention efforts, blood donation, and the distribution of glasses for residents requiring additional health assistance.

“We also distributed special cards or priority cards for labourers that can be used for services at Bhayangkara Hospital with the BPJS requirement,” he explained.

This activity is expected to strengthen public awareness of the importance of routine health examinations and support the sustainability of the CKG programme more broadly and evenly across various regions of West Java.
