West Java Police prepare security scheme ahead of Persib Bandung vs Persijap Jepara match
Bandung, West Java (ANTARA) - West Java Regional Police (Polda Jawa Barat) is preparing a tight security scheme ahead of the final match of the BRI Super League between Persib Bandung and Persijap Jepara at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) on Saturday (23 May). “In that meeting, we prepared a security scheme for the match which will be held on 23 May 2026 at 16:00 WIB,” said Karo Ops Polda Jabar Kombes Pol Laode Aries in Bandung, on Tuesday. Laode explained that the security pattern around the stadium will be divided into four rings, spanning from the outer area of the stadium to the entrance gates of the spectator stands. “Spectators are forbidden from bringing dangerous items such as flares, fireworks, or objects that could be thrown into the stadium. In addition, beverages in plastic bottles and cans are not allowed into the stands,” he said. The West Java Police together with the organising committee (panpel) and representatives of supporters have also agreed on severe sanctions for spectators found to violate the rules on the field. “We have already agreed with the organising committee and the Bobotoh supporters that if any person is found carrying dangerous items such as flares or objects that could be thrown, firm action will be taken in the form of revoking their right to watch,” he said. Therefore, he urged supporters who do not have official tickets not to force their way into the stadium area. “As a solution, the regional government together with local authorities has facilitated ‘nobar’ viewing points spread across several sub-district offices and nearby police stations,” he said.
