West Java Police Prepare Sanctions for Three Personnel Who Intimidated Security Guard at Bundaran HI
The Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police, Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, has issued an apology for the arrogant actions of three of its members towards a security officer in the Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta. The three police officers ran a traffic light at the pelican crossing in front of the Pullman Hotel, Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta, and became involved in an altercation with a security guard named Viktor. “We convey our apologies to Mr Victor, a security guard in the Bundaran HI area, for the inappropriate actions carried out by three members of the West Java Police,” said Hendra in an official statement on Saturday (25/7). Hendra disclosed the identities of the three active West Java Police personnel as First Police Inspector DG, Police Brigadier BS, and Police Brigadier RPW. Although a familial peace agreement was reached between the three members and the victim, Hendra stressed that the internal legal process and disciplinary examination by the National Police institution will continue. “The results found sufficient evidence of alleged violations of the National Police Professional Code of Ethics as stipulated in Police Regulation Number 7 of 2022. The next process will be carried out through the Police Professional Code of Ethics Commission hearing mechanism,” Hendra asserted. The West Java Police confirmed they will handle the enforcement of member discipline firmly, professionally, and transparently. Hendra added that input and criticism from the public regarding this incident serve as important evaluation material for reforming and improving the services of the National Police institution in the future.
