West Java Police are investigating a report of alleged motorcycle seizure from a number of residents, suspected to involve Taufik Hidayat, a suspect in the case of confinement and abuse against a woman with the initials YTR. Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, stated that the report has been received and investigators are currently gathering evidence, including examining the complainants and witnesses. “This report has been received and we are currently investigating it, primarily from the statements of the reporting witnesses,” Hendra said in Bandung on Thursday (2/6). He said the alleged seizure is still in the investigation phase to determine whether criminal elements are fulfilled before proceeding to the next stage. Additionally, investigators are examining CCTV footage that circulated on social media. “We are still investigating this because we only just confirmed the CCTV footage that circulated on social media last night,” he said. Separately, the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the West Java Police, Commissioner Rumi Untari, said investigators have found two new locations during the pre-reconstruction process for the confinement and abuse case against YTR. With this discovery, the number of crime scenes being investigated has increased from four to six. According to Rumi, the case reconstruction is scheduled to take place on Thursday, pending no changes.
