West Java Police: Ethics Hearing for Three Officers Who Intimidated Security Guard at Bundaran HI to Be Held Soon
The West Java Regional Police have revealed that a code of ethics hearing for three officers with the initials Ipda DG, Bripka BS, and Briptu RPW, who intimidated Fiktor Harefa at the Bundaran HI roundabout in Jakarta some time ago, will be held soon. They have a 21-day deadline to carry out the ethics hearing. “The individuals concerned have now been examined here (at the West Java Police). We have the authority for 21 days; before those 21 days are up, the hearing process will be convened,” said the Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, on Monday (27/7/2026). He continued that the Professional and Internal Security Division of the West Java Police is continuing its examination of the three officers. Hendra stated that the three officers have been placed in special detention and the ethics hearing will be held soon. “We are waiting for our colleagues from the Professional and Internal Security Division to process the investigation,” he said. Hendra said his party apologises to fellow security guards and the public for the incident of arrogance by the officers that caused unrest. He stated that his party will take firm, measured action. “For the case itself, it has been resolved peacefully, specifically with the security guard in Jakarta,” he said. Regarding the fake number plates used, he said the matter is being investigated by the Metro Jaya Regional Police.
