Bandung (ANTARA) – West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) have deployed 1,112 officers for the Antik Lodaya Operation, which will run for 10 days from 7 to 16 October 2026 to tackle narcotics abuse and illicit distribution in the province.

Polda Jabar Public Relations chief Hendra Rochmawan said in Bandung on Sunday that the operation would focus on addressing the abuse of narcotics, psychotropic substances and other illegal addictive substances.

“This operation demonstrates our firm commitment to eradicating illicit drug distribution down to its roots, in order to create a safe and conducive public security and order environment across West Java,” he said.

Hendra said Polda Jabar and its subordinate units had identified 47 priority targets for investigation during the 2026 Antik Lodaya Operation.

“We will prioritise measured law-enforcement action, fully supported by pre-emptive and preventive activities in the field,” he said.

Meanwhile, Polda Jabar Inspector for Supervision Benny Subandi said the operation would take a comprehensive approach from upstream to downstream to uncover narcotics crime networks, including those controlling distribution.

“The response cannot be handled piecemeal. Every case uncovered must be developed to establish who is in control, where the drugs came from, how they were distributed, and who else was involved in the network,” Benny said.

He said enforcement would not target only low-level offenders, but would also be expanded to reveal the drugs’ origins, distribution routes and the people controlling trafficking networks.

“We will also strengthen monitoring of activities related to narcotics distribution in digital spaces,” he said.
