West Java Police Confirm Three Officers Face Ethics Sanctions for Intimidating Security Guard in Jakarta

The West Java Regional Police have confirmed that three of their officers will face sanctions for violating the professional code of ethics following an incident where they intimidated a security guard named Fiktor Harefa at the Bundaran HI roundabout in Jakarta. Head of Public Relations for the West Java Police, Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, stated that despite a peace agreement being reached between the parties, the reconciliation does not nullify the sanctions against the three officers. The officers in question have been identified as Ipda DG, Bripka BS, and Briptu RPW. Commissioner Rochmawan said the Professional and Internal Security Division of the West Java Police had conducted an examination and found sufficient evidence of a breach of the Police Professional Code of Ethics, in accordance with National Police Regulation Number 7 of 2022. The findings will now be followed up through the professional code of ethics process and an ethics hearing. The police force reiterated its commitment to taking firm and transparent action against any violations committed by its members.
