We will pursue him wherever he goes,” he stated when met in Cisarua, West Bandung Regency, on Tuesday (23/6). In addition to the manhunt, investigators are prioritising the victim’s recovery. Rudi explained that the process of gathering information from the victim will be conducted gradually and with great care to maintain the psychological stability of YTR, who is still suffering from severe trauma. “Of course, we continue to pay attention to the victim’s psychological condition. The questioning during the investigation must not disrupt her treatment or recovery process,” he added. Head of Public Relations for Polda Jabar, Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, revealed that a special team has been formed to expedite the arrest and several locations suspected to be hiding places for Taufik Hidayat have been identified. “We cannot disclose the technical details, but several locations have been identified and are currently under intensive investigation,” Hendra said. To date, police have recorded only one victim. However, they remain open to reports from the public if there are other victims who have experienced similar treatment by the perpetrator. In an effort to clarify the sequence of events and the suspect’s motive, investigators have also questioned Taufik Hidayat’s ex-wife. Based on initial information, the ex-wife admitted to having experienced similar rough treatment during their marriage. “Their relationship ended a long time ago. According to her initial statement, she also experienced similar treatment, although not as severe as the current victim,” Hendra concluded.
