West Java PKB to Host PKBFest to Strengthen Service Movement
The West Java Regional Board of the National Awakening Party (DPW PKB) is preparing to hold a grand event titled PKBFest & DPAC Inauguration on Sunday (14/6/2026), at the Youth Centre Arcamanik, Bandung City. Carrying the theme “For You, West Java, PKB Devotes Itself”, the event marks an important momentum to reinforce the direction of the party’s devotion and service commitment to the people and community across West Java.
Chairman of DPW PKB West Java, Syaiful Huda, stressed that the essence of a political party’s presence must deliver tangible impacts felt directly in public life. According to him, power is not the ultimate goal, but rather a tool to serve the people to the greatest extent possible.
“PKB’s presence is not merely about the struggle for power, but how to use that power to the fullest extent to serve the people. The synergy between policies in parliament, the executive, and real action on the ground is the key continuously held by all PKB cadres and administrators in West Java,” said Syaiful Huda.
Huda revealed that in recent years, West Java PKB has initiated various public service movements touching various lines of community life. Among them is the Foodbank Movement as a form of circular economy. This movement does not just distribute food to people in need, but also energises the activity of culinary MSME producers.
“Every Friday, products from local MSMEs are purchased by West Java PKB cadres for distribution, creating a sustainable circular economic ecosystem between political parties, small business actors, and marginalized communities,” he said.
On the humanitarian action front, Huda said West Java PKB formed an Emergency Response Task Force (GTD). This GTD unit is supported by a fleet of around 250 ambulances spread across the corners of West Java.
“Guarded by thousands of volunteers on standby 24 hours, this fleet actively handles emergency situations, ranging from handling landslide disasters in West Bandung to emergency calls for delivering sudden stroke patients and expectant mothers to health centres,” he said.
The Deputy Chairman of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives said that West Java PKB also established the Bale Zakat community service entity. This institution functions to manage and distribute infaq, shodaqoh, and sacrificial animals from PKB cadres and the wider community to those entitled to receive them.
“All of these social actions on the ground are structurally combined with legislative support, budgeting, and strict oversight of the performance of public officials carried out by PKB DPRD members at the Provincial and Regency/City levels throughout West Java,” he said.
The series of PKBFest events, Huda said, will be directly attended by the General Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the National Awakening Party, Gus Muhaimin Iskandar. The Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment will review various service booths, deliver a struggle mandate, and lead the dispatch ceremony of hundreds of ambulance fleets to commemorate the first anniversary of the humanitarian service.
“We hope the PKBFest event becomes a momentum to ignite the spirit of West Java PKB cadres to be even stronger in devoting themselves to the community and the people,” he concluded.
