West Java Parliament Ratifies 2025 Budget Accountability Regulation
The West Java Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) on the Accountability for the Implementation of the 2025 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (P2APBD) into a Regional Regulation (Perda). The approval was formalised during a plenary session at the DPRD building on Tuesday (14/7).
Acting DPRD Secretary Iman Tohidin read out the decision to enact the Ranperda into a Perda, which was subsequently signed by the DPRD leadership and West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi. “Taking into account the DPRD meeting on 14 July 2026, it is decided to approve the Draft Regional Regulation on the Accountability for the Implementation of the 2025 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget along with its appendices to become a Regional Regulation,” he stated.
Governor Dedi Mulyadi, known as KDM, thanked the DPRD for their suggestions and appreciation throughout the 2025 fiscal year. He noted that all suggestions, ideas, and opinions from the DPRD would serve as input and evaluation for any shortcomings in development management. “We also thank the DPRD for understanding the current condition of the provincial government, including its financial situation. We will move forward together so that future financial management runs on time, is effective, and has a strong impact on public welfare,” he said.
West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman stated that the budget disruption which occurred would continue to be reviewed by the regional leadership forum and the DPRD. He emphasised that development and public services must remain optimal. “The leadership agreed to optimise the APBD for development and public services, especially basic services like education and health. The people of West Java must prosper and receive justice, and the APBD is the tool,” he explained after the plenary session. Herman affirmed that the provincial government has maintained fiscal independence and a relatively stable budget, noting a 63% fiscal independence rate despite reduced central government transfers.
