West Java Offers a US$ 4,37 Billion Investment

TEMPO Interactive, Bandung:West Java offered 27 investment projects worth US$ 4,37 billion during the West Java International Expo 2009. The projects include potable water management, agro-business, toll road infrastructure, to geothermal power. “This will be West Java’s main investment,” said governor Ahmad Heryawan at Kota Baru Parahyangan yesterday.

A number of countries, including France, the Netherlands, Germany, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Middle East countries, are scheduled to attend the event. Until last October, investment in West Java topped Rp 37,2 trillion. “The amount is bigger than last year’s Rp 35,6 trillion," said Regional Investment Coordinating Board (BKPMD) chief, Iwa Karniwa.
