West Java Offers 10% Vehicle Tax Discount Until 24 March 2026, Here's How to Pay

BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Revenue Agency (Bapenda) is offering a Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) discount programme during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, from 18 to 24 March 2026. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi announced the 10% discount on motor vehicle tax, applicable during the 2026 Eid holiday. “Come on, instead of spending the money on Eid, it’s better to pay the tax and get a 10% discount,” he said, quoted from the official Bapenda West Java website. “This programme aims to encourage public compliance in paying vehicle taxes while providing relief ahead of Eid,” he added, quoted from Kompas.com on Friday (20/3/2026). However, the programme does not cover five-yearly vehicle taxes or number plate replacements. “Note that this programme does not apply to five-yearly tax payments or plate replacements,” said Asep. Payments can be made through various digital channels, including: Every day, Samsat officers are present at the Main Samsat to guide the use of KiosK Samsat, Salira, and Sapawarga. To support services during the programme, the Main Samsat remains open 24 hours with staff ready to assist the public in making digital vehicle tax payments. Besides financial benefits, vehicle tax payments directly contribute to regional development, particularly infrastructure and public services. This programme is part of the West Java Provincial Government’s commitment to providing easy, digital public services oriented towards community needs.
