The West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) participated in a nationwide Kadin meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace. The meeting was organised to strengthen synergy between the government and the business world in facing economic volatility and global geopolitical challenges.

The General Chair of Kadin West Java, Almer Fai него Faiq Rusydi, who attended the meeting, expressed great appreciation for the session convened by President Prabowo. He noted that synergy and collaboration between the government and the business sector are highly beneficial, stating, “This meeting can have a significant impact on driving the economic growth rate at both national and regional levels.”

According to Almer, during one of his presentations, President Prabowo highlighted the importance of regional economic growth in realising an 8% economic growth target. “This must be underlined by entrepreneurs belonging to Kadin in all regions. The President has requested all entrepreneurs to work hand-in-hand and work hard. Kadin serves as an extension of the government in overseeing the launched programmes,” he concluded.

During the meeting, the President emphasised several key points, including the 8% economic growth target. The Head of State stressed the importance of a shared commitment to strengthen collaboration between the government and business actors to achieve national economic growth targets. Strengthening the regional economy requires the involvement of Kadin leaders from all 38 provinces to enhance economic potential and resilience.

President Prabowo also asserted that national priority programmes must receive full support from entrepreneurs. Strategic government policies requiring Kadin’s involvement include achieving food self-sufficiency, energy security, industrial downstreaming, and the acceleration of investment. “Synergy to mitigate global challenges is essential. Cooperation must be undertaken to face current economic challenges and global geopolitical dynamics,” stated President Prabowo.
