West Java Information Office Utilises Sapawarga Application to Provide 2026 Homecoming Information
TO provide comfort, safety and information during the Eid homecoming season, the West Java Provincial Communication and Information Office is maximising the Sapawarga Super Apps application.
“Through the Sapawarga application, the public can access current information about homecoming in West Java as well as safe homecoming routes. We are focused on providing more accurate information, especially regarding safe and smooth homecoming routes, free homecoming programmes, and integration with traffic monitoring through CCTV,” explained the Head of the West Java Provincial Communication and Information Office, Adi Komar.
According to him, Sapawarga is also the booking application for free homecoming tickets to be implemented by the West Java Provincial Government. Free homecoming ticket reservations can be made from 11 February to 12 March 2026.
“When registering, travellers only need to enter personal data such as name, identity card number (NIK), address, family card number, date of birth and departure route. Selection of departure date is done when activating the ticket on 1-12 March 2026,” he explained.
Diskominfo, continued Adi, will also maximise the Command Centre as a centre for managing homecoming route information using CCTV along homecoming and tourism routes in West Java. By utilising CCTV, the most accurate information can be obtained immediately.
“The Command Centre will be very beneficial for the public and field officers for monitoring and making appropriate decisions regarding homecoming journey conditions in 1447 Hijriah,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Head of the West Java Provincial Transportation Office (Dishub), Dhani Gumelar, stated that the 2026 Free Homecoming programme will depart on 13, 14 and 15 March 2026 from several locations including Leuwipanjang Terminal (Bandung), Cikarang Terminal and Bekasi City.
The West Java Provincial Government, together with Jasa Raharja, is preparing a quota of 3,040 free homecoming tickets by engaging several bus operators such as Sugeng Rahayu, Damri, Sinar Jaya, Primajasa and MGI. A total of 74 buses will be provided.
“Through the 2026 Free Homecoming Programme, the West Java Provincial Government provides routes both within and outside West Java Province. The free homecoming programme is open to all residents from and living in West Java who wish to return to their hometowns,” he said.
Dhani added that the bus fleet to be used has met safety standards prepared through technical inspections (ramp checks) before departure. Drivers and crew are also ensured to be in good health and ready to serve passengers during the journey.
