West Java High Prosecutor's Office Searches Indramayu DPRD Office Over Housing Allowance Corruption
The West Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Jabar) investigation team conducted a sudden raid on the Indramayu Regency Regional Council (DPRD) office on Wednesday (10/06). This closed-door search is strongly suspected to be related to the investigation of alleged corruption involving Housing Allowances (Tuper) for the 2022 fiscal year.
According to gathered information, the West Java High Prosecutor’s team arrived at the people’s representative building at approximately 09:30 WIB. The Secretary of the Indramayu Regency DPRD, Dulyono, confirmed the arrival of the investigative team. He admitted to being surprised when receiving reports from his staff regarding the presence of Prosecutor’s officers in his office.
“I was also shocked when I received news from staff about the arrival of the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office. At that time, I was at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), then immediately returned to the office,” Dulyono stated to the media.
Dulyono explained that he met directly with the investigative team and inspected the assignment letters they carried. During the process, the prosecution team requested several important documents for investigation purposes. The search lasted approximately three and a half hours and concluded around 13:00 WIB.
Upon leaving the location, the West Java High Prosecutor’s team was seen carrying one suitcase containing documents obtained from the search. “What I saw was one suitcase, but it was not full,” Dulyono added.
Following the raid, a representative of the Indramayu DPRD Treasurer was reported to have headed directly to the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office in Bandung. The treasurer’s presence was intended to sign the official handover report for the files and items seized by the investigators.
Although the DPRD Secretariat has not yet provided an official statement regarding the specific details of the case, this raid is suspected to be linked to the alleged corruption of housing allowances for the Indramayu DPRD in 2022, which has now progressed to the investigation stage. The case emerged following an Audit Result Report (LHP) from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK).
In the BPK audit report, irregularities were discovered in the process of providing housing allowances for members of the Indramayu DPRD. The potential value of state losses in this case is estimated to reach Rp16.8 billion for the 2022 fiscal year.
