Bandung, VIVA – The West Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Jabar) has reaffirmed its commitment to resolving various ongoing corruption criminal cases based on the evidence held. This commitment was stated by the Head of the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office, Sutikno, while receiving aspirations from students belonging to the Indonesian Law Student Movement (GMHI) at the Kejati Jabar Office in Bandung.

During the meeting, GMHI requested that Kejati Jabar accelerate the handling of several corruption cases that are perceived to lack legal certainty. The students also urged that the law enforcement process be conducted transparently, professionally, and without discrimination.

Responding to these demands, Sutikando emphasised that his institution will work to the maximum extent to resolve every ongoing corruption case. “Regarding our commitment to resolving corruption cases, we will do our utmost. We will not promise to handle corruption cases as quickly as possible, but rather look at our evidence,” said Sutikno, as quoted on Saturday, 6 May 2026.

One of the cases highlighted during the presentation of these aspirations was the alleged corruption regarding the Indramayu Regency DPRD housing allowance for the 2022 Fiscal Year. Answering the students’ demands regarding the progress of the case, the Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of Kejati Jabar, Roy Rovalino Herudiansyah, revealed developments in the handling of the matter.

“Regarding Mr. S, as the Deputy Regent of Indramayu Regency, his status has been upgraded from investigation to suspect since the beginning of June,” stated Roy Rovalino Herudiansyah. This statement serves as a direct response to the pressure from GMHI, which sought legal certainty in the handling of the alleged 2022 Indramayu DPRD housing allowance corruption case. GMHI stated that it will continue to monitor the development of the case, encouraging Kejati Jabar to ensure the entire legal process remains open, accountable, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
