Indramayu (ANTARA) - The West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) states that 445 prospective Hajj pilgrims are currently at the Indramayu Hajj Dormitory in West Java, to be flown to the Holy Land via Kertajati Airport.

Head of the West Java Kemenhaj Regional Office, Boy Hary Novian, in Indramayu on Tuesday, said that the hundreds of prospective pilgrims are the first group from Indramayu Regency.

“On this first day, we received 445 people, consisting of 441 prospective pilgrims and four officials, all present,” he said.

He emphasised that all prospective Hajj pilgrims, scheduled for the first batch, are fully present with no one left behind.

According to him, the arrival of the prospective pilgrims at the Indramayu Hajj Dormitory proceeded smoothly and in accordance with the set schedule.

His side has also prepared various supporting services, from health teams to provisions for the pilgrims.

In addition, Nusuk cards for all pilgrims have been prepared, including a team tasked with verification.

Upon arrival at the dormitory, he said, the prospective pilgrims were immediately directed to the hall for grouping between men and women.

“Here, it can also be seen that we directly receive the pilgrims without any welcoming ceremony to shorten the time,” he said.

Next, he said, each prospective pilgrim is called one by one to undergo a repeat health check before receiving provisions and the Nusuk card.

“This process takes no more than one hour, so the pilgrims can have plenty of time to rest,” he said.

For the departure, he conveyed that the aircraft is scheduled to take off at 09:00 WIB on Wednesday (22/4), with the prospective pilgrims departing from the dormitory around 05:00 WIB.
