West Java Governor Urges Bobotoh to Behave During Persib Victory Parade
Bandung, Republika.co.id — West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi said he would watch the Persib vs Persijap match on television at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA). He urged all Bobotoh to be orderly during the victory parade.
Persib Bandung are one step away from clinching the BRI Super League title. They only need one point against Persijap. In the previous match, Persib were held to a draw by Persijab.
‘Nonton di TV,’ Dedi Mulyadi said with a smile after attending the 80th anniversary of Kodam III Siliwangi at Graha Manggala Siliwangi, on Friday night (22 May 2026).
He also said he would award a bonus to Persib if they become champions of the BRI Super League. Dedi said the league title was within reach, as long as the team maintained its attitude and kept order during the victory celebration.
‘If the champion is in front of us, we just need to maintain our attitude and order in managing the championship,’ he said.
He urged Bobotoh not to behave in a strange way or violate rules that could tarnish Persib’s status as champions.
‘That means there should be no odd behaviour that damages our image as champions,’ he added.
Komisaris PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB) H Umuh Muchtar, better known as Wa Haji Umuh, asked Bobotoh not to light flares during the Persib vs Persijap match at GBLA, Bandung, on Saturday (23 May 2026). He said the fines issued by the PSSI disciplinary committee to Persib had already been substantial.
‘God willing, tomorrow we hope for order and that all Bobotoh understand and love Persib; please do not let any troublemakers enter. Do not light flares during the match; that’s fine after it ends,’ he told reporters after attending the 80th HUT Kodam III Siliwangi in Bandung on Friday night (23 May 2026).
He noted that in several Persib matches, the club had been fined by the PSSI disciplinary committee for fans lighting flares in stadiums. He said the fines in some matches reached Rp 3.5 billion.
‘(The fines) Rp 3.5 billion, a pity. We all love Persib. Bobotoh across West Java understand well; they are adults, though there are a few unclear individuals,’ he said.
