West Java Governor to Summon All Daycare Operators, Those Abusing Children to Face Sanctions

BANDUNG – West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has stated that he will summon all daycare or childminding facility operators in West Java to ensure and prevent acts of violence. He stressed that daycare operators who commit acts of violence or child neglect will be dealt with firmly.

“We plan to gather (daycare operators),” he said on the sidelines of the Bank BJB Annual General Meeting at Gedung Pakuan on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

He explained that he is continuously analysing the existence of daycares in West Java and emphasised that incidents of violence and child neglect must not occur. If such issues are found, his side will take firm action.

“We are continuously analysing and then incidents in West Java must not happen; we will take firm and measured steps,” he said.
