Bekasi Regency (ANTARA) - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi (KDM) provided aid to the family of the late Nurlaela, a victim of the KRL Commuter Line accident from Kampung Ceger, RT 02/RW 02, Tanjungbaru Village, Cikarang Timur Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, upon directly visiting the house of mourning. “I, on behalf of the provincial government, extend our deepest condolences. To the family of the late Nurlaela and also to the other victims, whether deceased, injured and still under treatment, or those who have been discharged,” said Dedi Mulyadi in Cikarang on Tuesday. The governor’s arrival, accompanied by West Java Provincial Government officials, was received by the victim’s family. KDM conversed with the victim’s mother and father who were waiting in front of their home. Entering the mourning room, the entourage met with the husband and child of the deceased. They discussed the incident that befell Nurlaela. KDM revealed that he would make Nurlaela’s child his adopted child. He also guaranteed the costs for the child’s schooling up to higher education level. On that occasion, KDM also conveyed condolences and provided financial aid amounting to Rp50 million. Dedi Mulyadi also urged the investigation conducted by the authorities to determine the cause of the accident to be carried out thoroughly until completion. He reaffirmed that all aspects related to the accident must be investigated properly so that in Indonesia, there should be no more accidents involving mass transportation vehicles or public transport that cause fatalities. “We are committed to providing assistance to victims who are injured, still under treatment or have passed away, and this is done together because it is handled by BPJS, KAI, insurance, and including the President has also stepped in,” he said.
