West Java Governor Offers Rp250 Million Reward for Capture of Bandung Assault Fugitive
Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi (KDM) has announced a reward of Rp250 million for any member of the public who can help locate Taufik Hidayat, a suspect in the assault case against a woman named Yuvita Tri Rezeki, who is currently on the wanted list (DPO). The announcement was made via a statement circulated on social media on Tuesday (23/6). In his statement, Dedi called on the public to participate in assisting law enforcement in the effort to arrest the fugitive. “Whoever can find Taufik Hidayat, hand him over to the authorities, or provide information on his whereabouts, I will give a reward of Rp250 million as a form of participation so that the individual can be found and arrested immediately,” said Dedi Mulyadi. He stated that the reward is a form of support for the police to expedite the search process. Dedi also expressed hope that information from the public could help uncover the suspect’s location. The assault case against Yuvita Tri Rezeki has garnered public attention and has been widely discussed on social media. After being named a suspect, Taufik Hidayat has yet to be apprehended and remains a fugitive. Dedi urged members of the public with information to report immediately to the police and to refrain from taking actions outside the legal process. Police are continuing the search for Taufik Hidayat, and the West Java Provincial Government hopes public participation will accelerate the arrest of the wanted person.
