West Java Governor Offers Rp 250 Million Bounty for Capture of Torture Perpetrator
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has expressed fury over the abuse of a 29-year-old woman, Yuvita Tri Rezeki, who was allegedly tortured by her boyfriend, leaving her blind and permanently disabled. KDM, as the governor is familiarly known, has launched a bounty, offering Rp 250 million to anyone who can help locate and capture the suspect, Taufik Hidayat. “I am offering a reward of Rp 250 million as a form of my participation to ensure Taufik Hidayat is found and arrested immediately. I thank the West Java Regional Police, let us work together to capture this barbaric Taufik Hidayat, and to the public, let us search for him together,” he said. KDM described the incident as a barbaric act that occurred in West Java, where a woman was held captive, tortured, and had both her eyes disabled until she could no longer see, with her lips possibly cut, leaving him unable to bear looking at her. “Her entire body is blistered and damaged,” he stated on his Instagram account on Tuesday (23/6/2026). “I am very angry with this man named Taufik Hidayat, who is now a fugitive, and I believe the West Java Regional Police team will be able to capture him quickly,” he added. Amid the ongoing investigation, Dedi has called on residents everywhere to participate in the search, affirming that anyone who finds the perpetrator and hands him over to the authorities or provides information on his whereabouts will receive the reward.
