West Java Governor Demands Sanctions for Hospital Staff NZ Over Viral Insult to Patient

The inappropriate social media comment made by a staff member of RSUD Dr Soekardjo in Tasikmalaya, identified as NZ, continues to draw reactions. An internal investigation is currently underway, and West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has called for sanctions to be imposed.

Ade Lukman, a member of the Tasikmalaya City Regional House of Representatives from the National Mandate Party and NZ’s parent, has finally spoken out, expressing his shock and shame over his eldest child’s actions which have become a public spotlight. He stated that as a parent, he has reprimanded NZ and reminded them to be wiser in using social media.

‘I am ashamed as a parent over this embarrassing incident and have reprimanded and reminded them to be wiser in using social media in the future. This mistake is the responsibility of NZ, who is an adult, and they must be accountable for their actions without involving the family name,’ Ade Lukman said on Thursday.

Ade Lukman insisted that NZ must take responsibility and asked the public not to drag the parents’ name into the matter. He claimed he was unaware of the issue and has long reminded his child to be careful on social media, stressing that the use of digital media must adhere to prevailing norms, including the provisions of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law.

‘I always remind them that using social media must be wise, must comply with general standards, and must not violate established rules, including the provisions of the ITE Law. I was very shocked when I found out this issue had gone viral. NZ is the eldest of four siblings, and I am shocked and saddened as a parent,’ he said.

Meanwhile, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has requested that Tasikmalaya Mayor Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan impose sanctions on NZ, a staff member with PPPK status at RSUD dr Soekardjo. He emphasised that public service officials must not make inappropriate statements, especially concerning a patient who has passed away.

‘I ask the Mayor to impose sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations against NZ, a PPPK employee at RSUD dr Soekardjo. Public servants are not allowed to utter inappropriate words, especially towards a deceased patient, and there will certainly be applicable sanction provisions,’ he stated.
